Original LM35DZ Temperature Sensor

The LM35DZ Temperature Sensor measures temperature and provides a linear analog voltage output. Its output increases by 10mV for every 1°C rise in temperature.

Unlike Kelvin-calibrated sensors, the LM35DZ provides a direct Celsius reading. Therefore, your circuit does not need to subtract a large voltage offset.

Pin Configuration

Output Calculation

The sensor provides 10mV for every degree Celsius. Therefore, use this formula:

Temperature (°C) = Output Voltage (mV) ÷ 10

For example:

  • 100mV represents 10°C
  • 250mV represents 25°C
  • 500mV represents 50°C
  • 1000mV represents 100°C

Arduino Connection

  1. Connect the +VS pin to a suitable power source.
  2. Connect the GND pin to circuit ground.
