Usage Tips
Drive the gate with about +15V for turn-on and 0V or a small negative voltage for turn-off, through a suitable gate resistor. The TO-3P tab is connected to the collector, so use a mica or silicone insulator and thermal paste when mounting on a shared heatsink. When replacing parts in a welder, replace IGBTs in matched pairs.
