MT8870 DTMF decoder module that converts telephone keypad tones from a 3.5mm audio input into a 4-bit binary output with status LEDs. Used for phone-controlled switching and remote control projects with Arduino.
The MT8870 DTMF Decoder Module listens to the dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones produced when keys are pressed on a phone and converts each tone into a 4-bit binary code. The audio signal enters through a 3.5mm jack, and the decoded value appears on outputs Q1–Q4 together with a StD (valid tone) signal, ready for a microcontroller or logic circuit.
