Description
18650 Charging and Power Kit
This rechargeable project kit combines three used 18650 lithium-ion cells, a series battery holder, a two-cell charger, an ON/OFF rocker switch and connecting wire. It provides parts for building a battery-powered electronics project with suitable voltage regulation and protection.
Kit contents
- 3 × used 18650 Li-ion cells, listed as 3.7V and 1900–2100mAh each.
- 1 × three-cell series holder, 3S1P configuration with 11.1V nominal pack voltage.
- 1 × EU-plug universal 18650 lithium battery charger with two cell slots.
- 1 × KCD1-101 ON/OFF rocker switch.
- 1 × 1 metre connecting wire, listed as 1mm.
Using the power kit
Use the holder and switch in a project designed for the battery pack’s voltage range. Confirm polarity and the required input voltage before connecting an Arduino board or other electronics, and add suitable regulation where needed.
The cells are used, so assess their condition and capacity before assembling a pack. A series holder does not provide battery-management protection by itself. Use appropriate protection and balanced cells for the application.
Charging
The supplied charger accommodates individual cells in its two slots. Charge the three cells in separate batches as required; it is not a charger for the assembled three-cell series holder.
