Description

Rechargeable 18650 Battery 1200mAh

The 18650 Battery 1200mAh is a new rechargeable lithium-ion cell designed for compatible portable electronics, battery packs, emergency lights, flashlights, and DIY power projects. It provides a nominal voltage of 3.7V and a rated capacity of 1200mAh.

Unlike reclaimed cells removed from used battery packs, this product is supplied as a new cell. Therefore, it is a suitable choice for projects that require a clean, unused 18650 battery with a realistic capacity rating.

3.7V Rechargeable Li-ion Cell

The battery has a nominal voltage of 3.7V.

Do not use a charger designed for NiMH, NiCd, lead-acid, or standard AA batteries. An incorrect charger may cause overheating, leakage, fire, or permanent cell damage.

The 1200mAh capacity provides approximately 4.44Wh of stored energy under suitable test conditions. However, actual operating time depends on the connected load, discharge current, temperature, charger quality, and discharge cutoff voltage.

Suitable for Battery Packs and DIY Projects

The 18650 Battery 1200mAh can be used as a single cell or combined with matching cells to create larger battery packs. When connecting cells in series or parallel, use cells of the same model, capacity, voltage, condition, and charge level.

Furthermore, every assembled pack should use an appropriate Battery Management System. The BMS must match the number of series-connected cells and the required current rating.

For permanent battery-pack assembly, spot welding is recommended. Applying a soldering iron directly to the battery terminals for a long time may overheat or damage the cell.

Typical Applications

  • Rechargeable LED flashlights
  • Emergency lighting systems
  • Low-power portable electronics
  • DIY power banks
  • Educational battery projects
  • Compatible rechargeable lamps
  • Single-cell electronic circuits
  • Custom 18650 battery packs
  • Backup power projects
  • Portable sensor systems

Key Features

  • Standard 18650 cylindrical format
  • Rechargeable lithium-ion chemistry
  • 3.7V nominal voltage
  • Approximately 4.2V fully charged
  • Rated capacity of 1200mAh
  • Approximate stored energy of 4.44Wh
  • New cell rather than a reclaimed used cell
  • Compact and reusable power source
  • Suitable for single-cell and protected battery-pack projects

Important Compatibility Information

The term “18650” describes the approximate physical cell size. It does not guarantee the same discharge current, capacity, chemistry, terminal shape, or protection features across every 18650 battery.

This cell does not have a specified high-discharge rating. Therefore, it should not be advertised for electronic cigarettes, high-power tools, high-current motors, or other demanding loads unless its continuous discharge rating has been independently verified.

Battery Safety

Never short-circuit, puncture, crush, open, reverse-connect, or expose the battery to fire or excessive heat. Do not use a damaged, swollen, leaking, rusted, or deeply discharged cell.

Use an appropriate battery holder or spot-welded nickel strip. Moreover, install suitable overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuit, and overcurrent protection in the final device.

Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from metal objects and direct sunlight. Keep it away from children and transport it inside an insulated battery case.
