M3 Knurled Brass Threaded Insert – 3.8mm OD × 4mm
This brass threaded insert adds an M3 internal thread to a suitable plastic part. The knurled outside helps the insert grip the surrounding material, making it useful for screw-fastened 3D-printed enclosures, brackets and prototypes.
It provides a metal thread where parts may need to be assembled and opened repeatedly. Select the installation method and hole design to suit the insert and the plastic being used.

Installation Notes
M3 identifies the screw thread, not the required installation-hole size. Choose the hole geometry and wall thickness for the material and process. Heat installation requires a compatible thermoplastic and suitable tooling.
Keep the insert aligned during fitting and allow the part to cool before loading the thread. Test the fit on a sample before installing inserts in a finished part.
