Description
MAX30102 Heart Rate and Pulse Oximeter Sensor Module – Black
This black MAX30102 breakout board provides optical sensing for heart-rate and SpO2 development projects. The sensor combines red and infrared LEDs with a photodetector and communicates with a host microcontroller over I2C.

Connection and Use
Connect the labelled power, ground, SDA and SCL pins according to the breakout board requirements. Check its regulator and logic-voltage compatibility before connecting a 5V controller; the sensor chip supply ratings are different from the board input rating.
A compatible library and signal-processing algorithm are needed to estimate pulse rate and SpO2 from the optical readings. Stable finger placement and limited movement help improve signal quality. This development module is not a finished medical diagnostic instrument.
